Help Needed For Regatta Parking!

Pinckney Parents: We’ve got the opportunity to help park cars this Saturday, Oct. 18th for the 2014 KU Jayhawk Jamboree Rowing Regatta. It’s a big chance to earn $1,000 for our PTO, which is a significant portion of our annual revenue for a days work. But WE NEED YOUR HELP PLEASE! We need to fill up to 18 three-hour slots (9am-Noon or Noon-3pm), so we’re asking for all hands on deck! Remember that PTO funding benefits you and your Pinckney students!

To sign-up, please visit:

Pinckney Dental Clinic

Wanted to make sure as many Pinckney parents as possible saw this information:

PInckney Families,
Douglas County Dental Clinic will be at Pinckney School on Thursday October 9th to provide a free screening to all students.
This is a quick 10 second look inside the mouth by a dental hygienist to see if any emergent needs are identified.
Parents/Guardians can fill out an application to have more services provided that day.  X-rays, tooth cleanings, and health education can be provided at school the same day at free or reduced cost.
The application is DUE October 3rd.  If you would like a paper copy of the form to fill out, they will be in the kiosk by the main office door.
Thank you,
Jodi Kennedy, Nurse

Urgent Message from Pinckney Pacers

A message from our running club leader, Kelli Bates:

Normally I would be printing wavers for the Pacers (Pinckney’s marathon club) this week, but as of right now, we will not have the Pacers this year. I need two adults to volunteer to be the merchandise coordinator (ordering and distributing all of the Pacers gear) and volunteer coordinator (manages the volunteers on the Pacers course). Without these vital positions filled, the Pacers will go away. If you are interested please e-mail me. Thanks for considering!
