Used Book Sale and Chili Feed

The Used Book Sale and Chili Feed is fast approaching.  We will start collecting donated books as soon as school starts again (although I do not have a drop-off spot yet).  So as your doing your post-holiday sorting, put those old out-grown books in a bag for Pinckney.  We collect books for all ages.

Chili Feed & Used Book Sale is on the evening of January 23rd.  Books are sold for 50cents each.  Also part of the festivities is a chili contest and pot-luck style feast.  More information to come…

Pancake Flip

Don’t worry about cooking Saturday morning January 11th, come on down to Pickney for pancakes! Show up between 8:30 and 10:30 to feed the family, get an update on events for the second half of the school year and enjoy visiting with other Pinckney families. Breakfast is free, but donations will be accepted.

Baseball Style T-shirts

You can order baseball style shirts once again! Thanks going out to the Lees family for getting this ready to go!

Halloween Parade

Don’t forget, this year’s annual Halloween Parade from Pinckney to Lawrence Memorial Hospital is Thurs., Oct 31, at 2:00PM.  Please check your child’s backpack for guidelines on costumes.    Refreshments following the parade will be provided by PTO at the Clinton Park pavilion.

Movie Night

Reminder:  Tonight is Movie Night!!  Bring the whole family to the Pinckney theater to see the movie UP.  (okay, it’s the gym, but we’re turning it into a theater!)  PTO will be selling hot dogs and popcorn and the 5th graders will be selling pizza, soda and candy.  Bring along your blankets and pillows to get cozy.  This is a family event, so please attend this event with your child or have them bring along another adult.

Open House & Back-to-School Potluck

This Friday,  September 6th is the classroom open house and PTO Potluck!

Come from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m to see your child’s classroom and meet their teacher, then stay for the PTO Potluck!

For the potluck, please bring a dish to share!  You can drop off your dish before you go into the classrooms if you’d like.   At the potluck, you can meet your PTO board as well as other parents, find out about upcoming events and sign up to help out with anything that interests you.
